Sat on the kerb, he had coins in a hat
Singing his life to the road
I stopped and I listened to the words that he sang
He sang "Goodbye my sweet Rock n' Roll"
That man's a musician, he plays a guitar
And sings with a voice full of soul
Hands are unclean and there's dirt in his hair
He sang grow up boy but never grow old.
On the roadside x3
Like me
I sat on the kerb and I talked to that man
I asked him "Why sit here alone?"
He said "I've been wandering all over this land...
In search of my sweet rock and roll.
I woke up one morning, she'd gone from my arms
Replaced by the sound of machines
I hope that she'll hear me singing in town
And she'll find her way back to me.
On the roadside x3
With me"
Smoking like a chimney a hole burning deep in his chest
Walking through the town a weight on his back as he steps away.
Voice like a songbird his sound is as soft as the spring.
As he holds his guitar the world stops as he sings...
On the roadside x3
With me
On the roadside x3

The concept of this EP was to bring together music and artwork on a unique platform for local artists to present their work and talents. The artwork can transcend the mediums of music, paintings, sketches, photography, sculpture etc. So the EP represents a space to house a gallery, full of work from various artists.
The EP has not been created to make any financial gain. The musicians and artists featured have given their time and skills free of charge - therefore your contribution when buying the CD merely goes towards studio costs. In the unlikelihood any profit is made, there will be discussions including both artists and musicians as to what happens with this.
Adrian Rea is the founding member of the studio. He is a humble yet exceptionally talented and experienced professional musician with 40 years in the music industry.
As a session player he has worked with many of the leading figures in British Rock and Pop music. As an accomplished drummer and with classically trained keyboard skills he has backed many named artists in summer shows, tours and pantomimes. His music skills have taken him on tours all over the world. He has a wealth of casual jazz, pop and dance band engagements, too numerous to mention. He is proven as a versatile and competent musician and has made television appearances, recorded albums and provided the backing for many theatre productions.
Raf is the resident sound engineer and producer. He is a member of the prestigious ‘Academy of Sound Engineering’ (Warsaw, Poland) and a graduate and member of the Polish Sound Engineering Association. Born in Warsaw, he started his career as a live sound engineer working with three of the largest Polish live sound companies (GMB Pro Sound, Trias, JetEvents).
He then switched to studio working as a mixing engineer and producer, in cooperation with one of the most highly regarded studios in Europe (i.e. Sound and More). During his career, Rafal has worked with over a hundred of different artists and clients ranging from hardcore metal bands to jazz soloists and even high profile clients such as the Polish prime minister and the Warsaw Stock Exchange.
Artists and musicians featuring on the album are noted in the 'Album Credits' section.
"Adrian Rea Studios are situated in a warehouse location just 3 minutes drive north of Yarm and 2 minutes south from the A66 at Elton & Hartburn. Durham Tees Valley Airport is located less than 5 miles west of our location. We are housed in a 17,000 square foot facility meaning there are no size restrictions on the recording artists we can cater to.
The centre boasts everything from a fully equipped Console Room, Live Room, Rehearsal Room, Music Room, Overflow Live Room and a Main Hall complete with back line & PA. The studio hosts privately arranged gigs, concert performances and ‘battle of the bands’ events. The tremendous amount of space at the venue makes it ideal for a variety of individual uses. In addition to the core business of making and recording great music the studio oozes an extremely relaxed environment. This makes it ideal as a venue to teach, learn, practise, share techniques and just simply rehearse with other musicians.
