An accident happened near to my house involving a little boy being killed in a collision with a car and I remember it very vividly. A little while after, although it had nothing to do with me, my family or anything, I realised it had quite a large effect on me. I regularly thought about Brandon and the family. I suppose that's where the phrase 'too close to home' comes from. Anyway - I decided to write a song in tribute with the title 'Brandon'. Obviously I didn't know Brandon or the family and so the song is not explicitly about this situation although it does allude to it in many ways. But it is written in his memory and even by someone he has never met, he won't be forgotten.
